Counselling for Children, Young People & Adults in Warwick and the surrounding areas.

A safe, compassionate and supportive space to make sense of difficult feelings, experiences and relationships.

I’m Claire, a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Warwick. I offer person-centred attachment-informed and neurodiversity-affirming counselling for children, young people, adults and families across Warwick, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and the surrounding areas.

Sessions may include talking, drawing, creative activities, play, sand-play, Lego or nature-based approaches, depending on the client’s age, needs and preferences which helps reduce anxiety and overwhelm when words aren’t enough or easy to find.

Who I support

Neurodiversity & Emotional Wellbeing

I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including those with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences and difficulties with emotional regulation. My work is informed by a neurodiversity-affirming approach, recognising that children may experience the world differently rather than viewing their differences as something that needs to be “fixed”.

I also have experience supporting children experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, masking, low self-esteem, difficulties with school attendance and EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance). I work collaboratively with children, young people and their families, adapting sessions to suit their individual communication, sensory and emotional needs.

Where talking feels difficult, creative approaches such as drawing, sand tray, Lego and other activities can offer alternative ways to express feelings and explore experiences.

If you feel this kind of support might be helpful, you’re welcome to get in touch for an informal conversation about what you’re looking for.

Children, Young People, Adults, Families and Couples

I work with children aged five and over, teenagers and young people, parents and carers, adults, couples and families who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, be affected by bereavement trauma, loss or going through significant life changes. I also work with children and young people who are experiencing emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), autistic (ASD) and ADHD clients.

Support for parents and families

I may work directly with a child or young person while also offering agreed support and guidance to parents and carers. Where appropriate, sessions may involve more than one family member.

We will discuss the most suitable arrangement during our initial conversation.

Adults Counselling

I offer integrative counselling for adults experiencing anxiety, low-mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, bereavement, trauma, life changes or other challenges that may be affecting wellbeing. Sessions provide a confidential, compassionate space to explore what is happening and develop a greater understanding of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. We can work through talking and reflection, with creative or nature based approaches offered where appropriate and according to your preferences. You do not need to have a specific diagnosis or even know exactly what you want to discuss before beginning counselling.

If you feel counselling might be helpful, you are welcome to get in touch to ask any questions or arrange an initial conversation.

Counselling is adapted to each person. You do not need to be artistic or even creative to benefit from counselling. Creative approaches are offered as an option, not a requirement.

Couples Counselling

I offer integrative couples counselling for partners experiencing communication difficulties, conflict, emotional distance, relationship changes, trust issues or other challenges affecting their relationship.

Sessions provide a confidential, compassionate space for both partners to feel heard, explore patterns within the relationship and develop a deeper understanding of each other’s thoughts, feelings and needs. We can work through talking and reflection, with creative or nature-based approaches offered where appropriate and according to you preferences.

couples counselling can support you in improving communication, navigating difficult experiences and considering how you would like your relationship to move forward.
